Intre 23 si 27 februarie 2011, la Romaero Baneasa Bucuresti, a avut loc a 3-a editie a Salonului Nautic International Bucuresti. Aceasta editie a aratat o dezmortire a pietei, fata de anul trecut. Toti dealerii, producatori de ambractiuni, cat si importatorii de accesorii si nu numai, de pe piata au fost prezenti.
Astfel am considerat ca si Sailing Team Equator trebuie sa fie prezent. Am vrut sa facem cunoscut proiectul Africa Europe Challenge si faptul ca exista un echipaj romanesc in aceasta competitie.
Targul s-a bucurat de numerosi vizitatori, standul nostru de asemenea. Astfel putem spune ca suntem cu un pas mai aproape de realizarea proiectului nostru. Multumim tuturor celor care ne sustin. Asteptam in continuare cei 2% din impozitul pe profit!
The schedule of the yacht race will be changed by the request of the African Union
The Africa-Europe Challenge, which will be sailing around the African continent for a period of one-year, is the first complex project in the world including a yacht race, a cultural event series and humanitarian programmes. Together with their team, project directors Mr József Gál and Dr Péter Kondricz originally planned the race start in July this year. However, as a result and outcome of last week’s visit to the seat of the African Union in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, the race schedule will be changed pursuant to the request of the competent leaders of the African Union. “We feel that it is a great honour and result that the African Union would like to implement its Campaign for African Cultural Renaissance during the same period as we intend to implement our project by harmonising the schedule of the two initiatives. The key aim of this campaign relates to presenting the cultural heritage of African Union member states at local events and festivals” – said Mr József Gál. “A series of negotiations precede the launch of this campaign. Moreover, in line with the proposal put forth by the African Union, we are also adamant about integrating member states not lying on the coast in the cultural events we will be organising concurrently to the Campaign for African Cultural Renaissance. Having won over the support of Dr Pál Schmitt, President of the Republic of Hungary and the trust of the Hungarian EU Presidency; received backing from European Union and the acknowledgement of the yacht and sport profession, the Hungarian-organised Africa-Europe Challenge (AEC) is about to conclude a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the leaders of the African Union.
The Africa-Europe Challenge, which will be sailing around the African continent for a period of one-year, is the first complex project in the world including a yacht race, a cultural event series and humanitarian programmes. Project directors Mr József Gál and Dr Péter Kondricz visited the seat of the African Union in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, last week to negotiate the details of the African Union – Africa-Europe Challenge cooperation framework with the competent leaders of the African Union. Project directors held negotiations with, among others, Madam Bience Philomina Gawanas, Commissioner for Social Affairs, Dr. Abdul Hakim Elwaer, Director of Human Resources, Science & Technology, Mr Ralaivao Darafify, Head of Culture and Sport Division, Mr Olawale I. Maiyegun, Director for Social Affairs and Mr Machacha Shepande, Senior Sports Officer. “The African Union supports our project at the highest level, which we are thrilled about and is a great honour for us” – said Mr József Gál. “We will have the opportunity to link up to the African Union’s Campaign for African Cultural Renaissance, the aim of which is to present the cultural heritage of African Union member states” – added Dr Péter Kondricz. In light of this, the event series building on the historical values of Africa, strengthening commitment towards peace and development through culture and encompassing the entire continent will be harmonised with the AEC route in Africa. As an outcome of these negotiations, the African Union will soon conclude a strategic cooperation agreement with the Africa-Europe Challenge programme, which will cover all three programme components (sport, cultural and humanitarian).
Seara, era seara tarziu, sau poate ca mai corect ar fi sa spun ca era dimineata foarte devreme. Sincer, ar suna cu mult mai bine sa scriu ca era dimineata, atunci cand odata cu zorile s-a nascut durerea. Adevarul este insa ca nu dormisem in noaptea aceea inainte de plecarea spre mare, spre barca. Pregatirile, ultimele telefoane, despartirea de prietena mea, impachetatul bagajelor, toate astea au luat exact atata vreme cat a trebuit ca sa lege ziua trecuta de cea de maine. Sailing Team Equator a luat nastere din dorinta comuna a mai multi iubitori de velism.
Initiatorul a fost Constantin Lascu, skipper, navigator, instructor de velism.
Scopul este alcatuirea unui echipaj national roman, care sa participe la sirul de evenimente desfasurate sub egida unui concurs de barci cu panze, de veliere, care in anii 2011-2012 va inconjura pentru prima data in istorie continentul african, denumit Africa Europe Challenge
Teluri propuse:
- Lansarea Romaniei si a velistilor romani in lumea concursurilor velistice de talie mondiala
- Promovarea intereselor Romaniei in Europa si Africa
- Promovarea imaginii Romaniei in lumea intreaga, prin intermediul mediatizarii asigurate proiectului AEC, pe parcursul a mai bine de un an si jumatate.
Startul oficial se da in Malta, din orasul La Valleta, in 24 iulie 2011 si dureaza aproape un an (cam 43 de saptamani). Traseul are cam 15 000 de mile marine, in linie aeriana (in realitate, cu barcile, mult mai mult!), adica in jur de 28 000 km! Vor fi 15 etape, poate 16, cu 18-20 de escale.
Important: nu este vorba despre o regata simpla!
